With 2019 fast approaching and the irreconcilable differences between President Muhammadu Buhari and his former ally, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, there are strong indications that the President may dump the current Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo (SAN) and shop for an Igbo running mate.Orji Uzor Kalu, the erstwhile governor of Abia State recently joined the All Progressive Congress (APC) and has also called on Igbo politicians to do same. He also said that having a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction is more important than having Biafra.
With his eyes firmly set on clinching the VP slot, he has been making frantic efforts to warm his way into the heart of the President. His mother, Chief Mrs Eunice Kalu, a powerful politician and also a Woman leader in APC has already put machinery in motion to see that her son becomes Buhari's running mate in 2019.
